Just as Wen Nan was about to approach her, a figure in the corner caught his eye.
He hadn't been able to see that side from outside, and he had assumed Li Shuyi was alone. To his surprise, there was another customer—an acquaintance.
Yang Mingzhong.
He didn't seem to notice Wen Nan enter. He was bent over, head buried under the table, rummaging for something.
Wen Nan stood at the entrance and watched him for a while.
A moment later, Yang Mingzhong stood up, holding a rose. He looked like he’d stumbled upon a treasure, a childlike joy spreading across his face.

Yang Mingzhong laughed sheepishly. "I finished my map-clearing task for the day by noon. Since I had nothing else to do, I thought I’d check out the area near the company. Sure enough, there are way more items and gear here than at the headquarters building."
"I found this rose under the table. It doesn't seem like a very useful item, though. The system says it has a small chance to slightly increase character affinity. President, if you need it, you can give it a try."
With that, Yang Mingzhong handed the rose directly to Wen Nan.
