Wen Nan had just set foot at the door of the dormitory when, behind him, Yu Shujun emerged silently from the bedroom and followed without a word.

Wen Nan paused, surprised. “You’ve been there the whole time?”

Yu Shujun’s expression remained wooden. “It’s my duty to stay by your side, Master.”

Wen Nan glanced at the golden pattern on his palm, a thought occurring to him. “You’re a player too. Isn’t it a problem if you haven’t entered a dungeon in so long?”

Yu Shujun shot him a sidelong look, instinctively wanting to lie—to claim it was indeed a problem and that he should let her go immediately. But at the last moment, she changed her mind. “Once you reach above Gold rank, you won’t be asking such elementary questions.”

“Oh, is that so?” Wen Nan raised an eyebrow. “So, what level are you at now?”

“Twenty-eight stars,” Yu Shujun replied coldly.

Wen Nan was certain Yu Shujun understood he was referring to her player account level, not the level of her current disguise.

But it didn’t matter. Whatever her level, she still had to listen to him.

Suddenly, Wen Nan remembered something else—

“9527, where’s Qiqi? It’s been a while since I entered the dungeon, and I haven’t seen her yet.”

He recalled from the game lobby that only strategy characters above ten stars could be brought out of the map. Even though Qiqi was now his exclusive character, he could only meet her after entering the dungeon.

9527 replied: “To reactivate an exclusive character, you need to do so at an activation point. The closest one is in the cafe directly opposite your company’s north gate.”

Wen Nan brought up the nearby map in his mind, about to check the route to the activation point, when the system notification sounded again.

9527: “It is currently 8:58 AM. Your company’s clock-in time is 9:00. If you are more than fifteen minutes late, it will be considered absenteeism, and you will lose your first meeting opportunity with your immediate supervisor, your chosen strategy target.”

Being over fifteen minutes late counted as absenteeism? What sort of company had such strict management?

Fine.

It seemed he had no choice but to get through this shift before activating Qiqi.

Wen Nan quickly summoned the equipment and items just tributed by a member, picked the most expensive set, and changed into it before heading to the bathroom.

One glance in the mirror, and Wen Nan was startled.

At some point, his appearance had changed.

He’d gone from the beauty pageant champion Ronnie type to the kind of man who looked slim in clothes but was well-built underneath.

So his maxed-out charisma stat changed in real-time according to his target audience? In the game lobby, surrounded by male players, he’d been given a “reliable” look. Now, in this romance strategy dungeon, his appearance had shifted to match his chosen love interest?

Rather considerate.

Still…

His current look—if not quite a wolf in gentleman’s clothing, was at least the sort of refined rogue that could pass for either.

So, the big boss liked this type?

Wen Nan straightened his six-foot frame, thrust out his broad chest, and hurried to the office building as fast as he could.

Beep!

He clocked in at the very last minute before being late, took the elevator straight to the top floor, and was just about to look for his workstation when an arm suddenly appeared, yanking him into the pantry off the hallway.

“Senior! It’s an emergency!”

A pair of bright, watery eyes stared up at Wen Nan, wide and earnest.

Looking at the girl’s soft, peach-like cheeks, Wen Nan smiled. Wasn’t this his adorable junior, so fresh she seemed to drip juice at a touch?

“What’s wrong? Tell me.”

Her peachy face crumpled. “The project report ppt I submitted yesterday—I stayed up until three a.m. to finish it, and by the time I sent the email, I was half-conscious.

“But when I looked at it this morning, it was a complete disaster—every page had issues…

“And then this morning, the demon boss lost it and demanded to know who made this trash. I was so scared I didn’t dare admit it…”

She was on the verge of tears.

Wen Nan, barely listening, found himself wondering if her cheeks really would yield water if he pinched them.

When she finished, he asked, “So?”

Drooping her head, she fidgeted nervously. “On the report, only two names were listed—the presenter’s. One is me, the other is…” You.

She poked his chest with a fair finger.

Wen Nan understood. So she’d made a blunder, didn’t dare own up to it, and wanted him to take the fall?

Sure enough, she went on, “If the boss comes looking for you later, could you… not rat me out?”

Wen Nan nodded. “Sure.”

His junior blinked, obviously surprised. “Huh? You agreed just like that?”

“Yeah, I’ll help you. But on one condition.” Wen Nan cut to the chase.

She eyed him warily. “W-what condition?”

He leaned in and whispered, “Tell me… where is the G-spot?”

She stared at him, wide-eyed and dumbfounded. After a long moment, her cheeks flushed, and she balled her fist to thump his chest.

“Ugh! You’re awful! How can you ask a girl that?”

Wen Nan was helpless. He didn’t want to ask either, but it was part of the mission.

After venting her embarrassment, she crooked her finger, beckoning him closer.

He leaned in, and she cupped her hand around his ear, whispering, “If you get past the demon boss later, I’ll tell you!”

Her breath, warm and soft, tickled his ear.

Wen Nan was about to rub his ear when she suddenly rose on tiptoe and—

Smack!

She planted a wet kiss on his cheek.

Huh?

He was just expecting a whisper, not a sneak kiss!

“That counts as workplace harassment, you know,” Wen Nan said with a laugh.

She was already at the pantry door, vanishing with a toss of, “So what if it is? Go ahead and report me!”

Left alone, Wen Nan was about to return to his desk when a message popped up in the system’s character chat window—

[The Demon Boss: Come to my office.]

The frosty-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside CEO was summoning him?

The tone of the message was certainly icy and carried a hint of intimidation, but… how soft could she really be?

Wen Nan called up his newly acquired talent—Mind Reading.

This skill seemed made for this character.

With that in mind, hands in his pockets and humming a tune, he strolled to the CEO’s office.

He knocked and entered, only to freeze at the sight inside—

The lady CEO sat poised in her swivel chair, her features as dazzling, opulent, and striking as the figurine Wen Nan had received.

But however exquisite her face, it was overshadowed by the two snowy globes on her chest, each the size of a football.

Yet Wen Nan had little time to admire the view, for they weren’t alone in the room.

On the sofa sat two unexpected guests whose presence made Wen Nan’s smile falter.

The wealthy woman desperate for a child?

The predatory, wolfish wife?

Why were his other two strategy targets here together?!
