Words Upon Release

This is awkward—I've hit a block with the launch and can't put out the update, so I'll move it to tomorrow at noon.

I've been at this for several years now, a seasoned hand in the game, stumbling along the way, and have managed to release a few books that went up for sale. Yet every time I reach this point, nerves still get the better of me.

It's especially true this time, since it's been so long since my last book. I haven't managed to retain any popularity from before, so in a way, I'm starting over as a newcomer.

I have no idea how many people will actually subscribe to this book. Frankly, I'm feeling pretty uncertain.

This morning, with some trepidation, I asked my editor about the numbers—fifteen hundred readers are following the updates.

I'm not going to set my hopes too high. If we can reach a thousand initial subscriptions, I'll give it my all, aiming for at least two updates and six thousand words a day. For every additional two hundred subscriptions, I'll publish an extra chapter, with no upper limit!

As for hardships, I won't dwell on them. We're all adults here, and most of our struggles we just swallow in silence—there's little point in airing them out.

I would also like to thank Night Snack for your steadfast support and guidance, and every reader for your bookmarks and votes. Without these numbers backing me up, I couldn't have made it this far.

Finally, the launch should happen just after midnight—probably around ten past twelve. I'll post two chapters first, and add more tomorrow... The deadline crept up on me, and I don't have much in reserve.

So, once again, I ask for your subscriptions, especially the first ones!
