"Captain, look quickly! That man's shout caused the path to collapse!" Yuchan exclaimed in astonishment, tugging at Lu Yi's arm and shaking it continuously.

Hearing Yuchan's words, Lu Yi instantly burst into a chuckle. "Yuchan, that path wasn't collapsed by shouting. Someone triggered a mechanism, and a pre-set stone gate dropped down, sealing off the passageway."

"Is that so?" Yuchan stared at the stone gate, blinking rapidly. "It looks so fun! Can I learn how to do that?"

Lu Yi smiled and said, "Of course you can. However, this contraption is quite complex and takes a long time to master."

"A long time? Then forget it." Just like that, Yuchan quickly tossed the idea of learning mechanism arts out of her mind.

Shen Yixue snapped out of her shock at that moment. She looked back; since most of the people had already entered the passageway, most of this burial chamber was once again shrouded in darkness. Gazing into that serene gloom, Shen Yixue had the distinct feeling that something was quietly changing within it.

This sensation sent a chill down her spine, causing her to instinctively grip Lu Yi's arm tightly. "Lu Yi, we've been separated by the mechanism. There are only three of us left on this side now. What should we do?"

Lu Yi looked at Shen Yixue with a hint of surprise. During their last mission, Shen Yixue had the courage to follow the Keeper, so she shouldn't be this timid. But upon second thought, as a human being, it was inevitable to have certain fears.

With this in mind, Lu Yi decided to boost Shen Yixue's confidence. He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. "Don't be afraid. The King of Yongming couldn't possibly appear here, so no matter what situation arises, I can handle it."

Feeling Lu Yi's confidence, Shen Yixue seemed to calm down a little. Seeing this, Lu Yi led the two women over to the stone gate.

Lu Yi reached out and tapped on the stone gate, listening intently. "This stone gate is quite thick. It would take a great deal of effort for us to break through it."

Shen Yixue said somewhat hesitantly, "Should we look for the release mechanism and reunite with them?"

Lu Yi swept his flashlight beam around. When the light illuminated the upper part of the burial chamber, his expression changed slightly, though he quickly masked it.

Narrowing his eyes, he said decisively, "No need. Something must have gone wrong on their side, so as long as we stay here, there's a high probability they will come to reunite with us."

After saying this, Lu Yi glanced back at Shen Yixue, who still looked somewhat uneasy. "Rest assured, there are eleven trial-takers on their side, along with the protagonist. If they want to get through, this stone gate won't be able to stop them. Right now, we should take advantage of the time before—"
